U People Podcast – Episode #20 “The Short List”
This week Hanifah and Olive welcome Stacey Ann Chin to the hot seat. Well, it was her own couch but you get the picture. We answer tough questions like why she feels she can’t get a date as well as a unexpected look at who she thinks is hot. Gloria Bigelow is back with another U People story. All in another fine podcast from us to U People.
Click. Watch. Love.
WOW! Great Podcast Ladies.
Thanks;)
One of my favorite!
Like really…I ain’t sure if yaw know just how much the two of you mean and are to a lot of “us people”. Like…I visit the page daily just to see what’s new…I’m addicted…and I get so effervescent when the podcasts are a little longer than usual! If I’m not asking too much: “More ladies more!” This is one person who can’t get enough:) la paz y adora
This has got to be my favorite podcast yet! And not just because of Stacey Ann Chin.. What Olive touched on is very true..this project gives me hope that there are communities of women in this world that are of substance and that I am not a weirdo for not wanting to sit in a dark smoky club full of drunken drama in order to connect with others. Thank you for showing the world that Lesbians of Color can be more than a bunch of drama.
Well ladies that makes 5 OUT jamaican lesbians, including myself. Loved it loved it loved it. Can you guys move to Jamaica we need some REAL leasbians out here. Stacey-Ann, an independent and beautiful woman, please keep up the good work. I love women who are independent in thought, unfortunately its severly lacking among Jamaican lesbians.Anticipating the next podcast ladies.
Bless
oh, i think every new podcast is the best podcast ever but this one here definitely takes the cake ladies.
olive. thanks for your real truth telling. totally feel and appreciate your insight.
hanifah. totally agree with your obama~hillary thoughts. word em up.
staceyann. thanks for brilliance and laughter and courage. always.
(see you in august!!)
y’all are *funny*! thanks, Staceyann, for affirming us skinny girls. (even tho we do (finally) get a little “curvature” after… well, 40.) thanks to all of you for the political discussion, and for highlighting how good we really do have it, those of us who live in a metropolis. oh–and Staceyann, i feel you on John Edwards. he was my candidate from the beginning. since he dropped out, i’m looking for more honesty from the other two. we’ll see what happens, eh?

so a friend of mine sends me link to Staceyann’s website, knowing that I share a great interest in poetry. My heart pounded as I read the intensity in each of her poems, then I flip onto U People Podcasts to see that Hanifah and Olive have exclusive connects with the amazing Staceyann Chin!! I think..no, I definately, absolutely, completely have developed an intense crush on this woman. WOW!!
This interview is flipping hilarious. I enjoyed it. I’ve been receiving e-mails for several months from U People, but today I finally took the time to look at several videos and listen to the songs. This is good place to visit since I’ve recently deleted my Multiply and Yahoo pages.
Stacey Ann Chin, is she the lady that was on Oprah some time last year? She seems familiar for some reason. If it isnt her I apologize. She is so funny! The song about the skinny girls, I listened to that over and over!
I have always heard that Jamaica is a very dangerous place for gays and lesbians. Is that accurate or a misconception?
Thanks*S
Hilarious, hilarious! I watched this so many times and it just doesn’t get old.
Thank you for planting hope in the mind of those who are not able to be who they are and who they need to be. Sisters, your work is amazing!
