oh and Olive I know how you feel about Star Wars because I feel that way about Lord of the Rings
This has got to be one of my favorite episodes. When I was a little girl we watched alot of scifi stuff. Old episodes of star trek, the original battle star galactica, buck rogers ect. I noticed that there were not alot of black people around on these shows. Of course at six years old I had no idea about how hard it was to be a black actor ( still is from what i can see) so I though there was some sort of catastophic event that was gonna happen in the future that was gonna wipe alot of black folks out.
I was conviced that there was not that many of us in the future because of what I saw on tv. Well now that I am grown I am still a lover of scifi and I am working on my first novel and I extrapolate on my fear as a six year old girl and use that as a basis for my story. So I guess i’m doing my part to expand peoples mind on who and what is in scifi these days.
It’s already Thursday and there hasn’t been an update. I need to see U-People!
