Safety is definitely something everyone thinks about sometime during the day, as far as where they’re going and who and what is in their surroundings. I think feeling safe and free to express one’s thoughts is also something that is always on the fore front of my mind on a day to day basis. I definitely believe there’s a time a place for everything. I’ve always felt there were times when I could express and partially be me, but never have I felt I could necessarily be and express all of me at once, except maybe in my writing. And here. Unlike many other sites I’ve been to, this sites generates excellent energy and encompassing of all shades of us queer folk, which as a bisexual is refreshing.

I absolutely LOVE this site!!! I’m trying hard to catch up on the podcasts I’ve missed, and I’m almost done, I greatly appreciate what the both of you (and those who’ve been involved with your project) have done. I’ve been opened up to people, places, and things I probably never would have been exposed to other wise. And I’ve been shown that not only are my dreams reachable, but I can be completely me in reaching them.

    Hey f.i.r.e.,

Yes, I feel you. Good point. This site creates sense of safety for us as well and we hope others. Your voice and command of it I think is one of your ultimate safety nets. Picking your battles or seeing them even as battles is within your power. I think that we think somethimes just shouting out (most often out of frustration) to the top of our lungs is power, but what if your not the shouting type, are you less powerful or less safe? Olive and I prescribe to the thought of not complaining about safe space and just creating it.
