This is the worst kind of infighting amongst minority people--misinformed. The fact is that 63% of those voting on the proposition were white versus 10% black. WE did not pass the measure, white people did. That a majority of black voters (still a minority of the total votes) said yes to the proposition speaks to the reality of homophobia in our community. It is a real and ever-present problem all GLBT folk must hurdle but in the case of proposition 8, statistics show it can not be to blame. It isn't mathematically sound and for anyone interested I quoted the exit poll data available on CNN's website. Thank you for breaking it down girl.
